Solutia Performance Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd is set up as the new Saflex PVB interlayer plant. With 80 years of experience in developing glass interlayers, Saflex is the world’s largest producer and seller of PVB interlayer, and is known as the global leader in PVB innovation, quality and reliability. When laminated between layers of glass, PVB interlayers greatly enhance the performance characteristics of glass, providing benefits such as security, solar protection, sound attenuation, safety and style. In addition to the Suzhou facility, Saflex operates plants in Gent, Brazil, Springfield, Massachusetts; Trenton, Michigan and operates a finishing center in Singapore.
Our Suzhou plant was invested in 2006 and started the trial production at the end of June in 2007. The total land size of the plant is 50K square meters and the designed capability is 10 million square meters per year.
